Bret A. Moore, Psy.D., ABPP is a Clinical Psychologist in San Antonio, TX and former Active Duty Captain and Psychologist with the United States Army. Dr. Moore received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL and a masters degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ. Dr. Moore completed two tours (27 months) in Iraq as an Army Clinical Psychologist and has held the positions of Chief of Clinical Operations and Officer in Charge of Prevention services. Dr. Moore is the former Membership Chair for Division 18 (Psychologists in Public Service) and a member of the Clinical Practice Committee for Division 19 (Society for Military Psychology) of the American Psychological Association. He is the 2007 recipient of the Arthur W. Melton award from Division 19, which recognizes early- career achievements in military psychology. Dr. Moore is an active reviewer for several scientific journals related to clinical psychology and military psychology and has in press or published dozens of book chapters and articles, many dealing with military personnel. His primary interests are in the areas of cognitive-behavioral treatment of nightmares, early intervention for trauma based stress and the integration of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy.
